They have been lovingly converted from traditional stone farm buildings, preserving their original character yet perfectly equipped for today’s lifestyle. It’s the perfect place for families, groups and dogs alike!

About Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages

Bolehill Farm is a former working farm, just 2 miles from the centre of the lovely town of Bakewell but set in the most stunning Peak District countryside.

Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages is a small family business, run by Dan and Fay, who own the farm and live on site. They are there to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible, from making the initial booking right through to the end of your stay.

Fay grew up on the dairy farm opposite Bolehill Farm so she knows this part of the Peak District inside out, and both Dan and Fay are always happy to help you make the most of your stay. If there’s anything you’d like advice about, please just ask.

Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages are perfectly located to explore the local area, whether you want to visit the beautiful country estates of Chatsworth House or Haddon Hall, or go cycling on the Monsal, Tissington or High Peak Trails. There’s something here for the whole family!

Very dog friendly!

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in ALL Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages. The dog-friendly environment and the beautiful surrounding countryside offer everything a dog could need for that home-from-home feel. The cottages are set in extensive grounds of open fields and woodland, meaning lots of land for your dog to enjoy and walks right from the door. There’s a specially set aside dog paddock for them to explore and run in, as well as a dog wash area. They even provide a dog welcome basket, which includes a dog bed, towels, bowls and a few treats!

Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages 3 — Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages are very dog friendly

Dogs are charged at £5 per cottage per day. This is a flat charge – there is no additional charge for multiple dogs per cottage. Guide dogs, Hearing dogs and Assistance dogs stay free of charge.

Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages Accommodation

Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages are tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Each has a fully-equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher, a TV, Wifi access, and an outside seating area. All linen is provided, including towels.

Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages 4 — Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages within the Peak District landscape

There are four cottages that each sleep up to 2 people, two cottages that sleep up to 4 people, one cottage that sleeps up to 5 people and one cottage that sleeps up to 6 people. The cottages are available all year round with flexible arrival and departure dates (minimum 2 night stay). Each cottage can be booked individually or in groups for larger gatherings.

In addition, there’s a fun-packed games room with pool table, table tennis, table football and lots more – whether this is for the young ones, or the young at heart!

A spacious cottage with a quirky layout, split over three-levels with a large lounge, separate kitchen and dining area. The entrance is through the dining area, with a separate kitchen off to the left. A few steps lead up to a spacious lounge with comfortable seating, sloping ceilings and exposed period beams – the perfect place to spend family evenings. A flight of stairs from the dining area leads down to two bedrooms: one double and one twin bedroom. There is a spacious bathroom with a shower over the bath.

A spacious, light and airy double-aspect cottage with views over the lawned guest garden area in one direction and over the central courtyard in the other – truly the best of both worlds! Lathkill Cottage has an open plan kitchen/dining/living area, with exposed beams and stonework. A hallway leads to a double bedroom and a large modern bathroom with a shower over bath. The twin bedroom has its own en suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

Positioned on a single level, with access from the courtyard, providing easy access for the less mobile. The largest cottage, Derwent Cottage is superb for families or sets of couples.

The entrance leads into the fully equipped kitchen and dining area which follows on to the living area, with magnificent views over open countryside looking towards Bakewell. A hallway leads to a double, a twin and a single bedroom. There is a large bathroom, which has a separate bath and shower. The double room has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower. The three bedrooms enable larger families (up to five people) to be accommodated or for smaller families and couples to have additional space.

The largest cottage, Hope Cottage is a carefully designed, attractive cottage for 6 people which leads directly to the courtyard. The entrance is into the main living/dining area, which leads onto a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen. The living room has a log burning stove for cosy evenings.

There is a ground floor double bedroom. On the first floor is a spacious twin bedroom with exposed beams, an en-suite shower room and views over the garden area. A short set of curved steps takes you up to the king-sized bedroom and en-suite bathroom, with bath and separate shower.

Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages for Groups

Bolehill Farm Holiday Cottages are 8 beautiful cottages, sleeping up to 25 people in total, all clustered around a central courtyard. They’re ideal for family groups, reunions or for groups of friends to book together.

For larger groups, there’s a newly-refurbished group dining area for booking at no extra charge. This has seating for up to 24 people (4 tables with 24 chairs which can be organised in different ways to suit your group).

There’s also a fully-equipped kitchen that comes with booking the group dining area, complete with a 6-zone induction hob and wide 1100cm farmhouse style oven, as well as a fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher, along with smaller items such as kettles, toasters, crockery and utensils.

Only one group is allowed to use this space at any one period so as not to be stepping on toes! That said, it does need to be booked in advance. Please do get in touch prior to booking if it is something you are interested in.
