About Peak View Shepherd Huts

Nestled in the foothills of the Pennines, on the edge of the Peak District National Park, Peak View Shepherd Huts are a peaceful, relaxing hideaway for anyone who wants to escape from the stresses of daily life.

These four luxury Shepherd Huts are beautifully-appointed, hand-built by master craftsmen. They are all warm and cosy with wood-burning stoves and each have private hot tubs overlooking those glorious views. Perfect for romantic breaks, a special occasion … or just because you deserve it!

All Peak View Shepherd Huts come with luxury linen and towels provided, as well as a Welcome Pack including a selection of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a basket of goodies including croissants, jam, muffins and a selection of biscuits. There is also private parking close to each Hut.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in Wooly and Eric Huts where dog bowls, towels for muddy paws, and sleeping mats are provided.

Peak View Shepherd Huts : Location

Peak View Shepherd Huts are set in the most beautiful rural location, yet within easy walking distance of a great restaurant and a well-stocked bar at the nearby Windy Harbour Farm Hotel. They’re only a mile away from the bustling former mill town of Glossop, with its wide range of shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs.

Slightly further afield, the elegant spa town of Buxton is within easy driving distance, as are the beautiful Hope Valley villages of Castleton and Edale. The pretty market town of Bakewell is less than an hour’s drive away, as are the wonderful country estates of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.

This is true walking, cycling and riding country, and there are numerous walks through the hills literally from your front door. Peak View Shepherd Huts are within easy reach of the Pennine Way, the Trans-Pennine Trail and the Longdendale Trail.

Willow Hut (Sleeps 2)

Willow Hut is the newest Shepherd Hut. It’s wider and longer than the average Hut, and it’s extra special in every other way too! Willow Hut is designed to provide the ultimate in comfort inside and traditional looks outside, to give you the best glamping experience possible.

Inside Willow Hut you’ll find a luxurious, fixed King-size bed – positioned facing the large double French doors so that you can watch the sun set and rise in perfect comfort.

There are two beautiful leather wing chairs in front of the cast-iron log burner and hand-crafted stone hearth, ideal for getting cosy on winter evenings. (Not that you’ll ever be cold in Willow Hut, as there’s underfloor heating throughout.) There’s also a 40” Smart TV on a swivel mount, meaning you can view it from all around the Hut, free WIFI and Bluetooth speakers.

In the spacious kitchen area there’s a two ring induction hob, a microwave, a fridge, a toaster, a kettle, a country style sink, and all the cutlery, pots and pans you should ever need.

Finally, there’s a full wet-room bathroom, with a walk in shower, sink, toilet, heated towel rail and two amazingly soft dressing gowns.

Willow Hut is every bit as wonderful outside! First, you’ll find a large decking area with comfortable seating, from which you can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. And if that’s not enough, Willow Hut also boasts a four-person, wood-fired hot tub, so that you can soak up the peace and quiet outside while relaxing in warm bubbles.

Willow Hut

Wooly’s Hut (Sleeps 2)

Wooly’s Hut is full of character and charm. It’s larger than average and fitted with a combination of traditional style and modern conveniences, including free WIFI.

Inside Wooly’s Hut you’ll find a delightfully soft fixed double bed, which faces the cast-iron log-burner to keep you cosy during colder evenings. There’s also fitted an internal heating system with Nest thermostat, so that you can ensure the temperature is just right when you return from enjoying the unrivalled local views.

In the lounge there’s a wonderfully comfortable leather double sofa, with a 32″ Smart TV/DVD player and DAB radio.

In the kitchen area there is a two ring induction hob, a microwave, a kettle, a fridge, a farmhouse-style ceramic sink, plenty of cupboard space, and all the essentials for your cooking needs.

Finally, there’s a luxurious en-suite bathroom, complete with a spacious walk-in shower, toilet and ceramic wash bowl.

Outside Wooly’s Hut there’s a spacious wooden deck with garden furniture, as well as a fire pit that’s just perfect for snuggling around in the evening, watching the stars. Wooly’s Hut also has a two-person, wood-fired hot tub, so that you can indulge in complete relaxation while enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.

Eric’s Hut (Sleeps 2)

We know you’ll love Eric’s Hut too! It’s larger than average and fitted with a combination of traditional style and modern conveniences, including free WIFI. It’s wonderfully warm and cosy, with an internal heating system and Nest thermostat.

Inside Eric’s Hut you’ll find a delightfully soft, fixed King-size bed, with a rustic set of drawers to allow you to organise your belongings and feel even more at home.

In the lounge there’s a comfortable double sofa and a 32″ Smart TV/DVD player. And there’s a cast-iron log-burner to relax in front of, after a day out in the Peak District fresh air.

In the kitchen area there is a two ring induction hob, a microwave, a kettle, a farmhouse-style ceramic sink, plenty of cupboard space and all the essentials for your cooking needs.

Meadow Hut is the twin of Eric’s Hut, with a similar layout and size but beautifully individual styling and boasting a wonderful wood-fired eco hot tub!

Meadow Hut is larger than average and fitted with a combination of traditional style and modern conveniences, including free WIFI, Bluetooth speakers and a DAB radio. It’s wonderfully warm and cosy, with an internal heating system and Nest thermostat.

Walk into Meadow Hut and you’ll find a cosy, comfortable lounge with a double sofa, and a 32″ Smart TV/DVD player. There’s also a cast-iron log-burner to snuggle in front of, relaxing after a day out exploring.
